Duane and I both worked the 4th of July, so my mom and dad watched the kids for us. Thurman snuck into the shed behind Gabriel and cut his leg on something (we still have no idea what). He ended up getting six stitches! I left work to go be with him, but by the time I got there, he was all done. Mom said he did great. We had to change his bandage daily and he was fascinated by his "boo boo". When we went to get the stitches out, it was a different story. Two of them had become embedded in his skin and it took trips to 3 places before they finally were able to remove them. Yikes! I used a kit called "Let Freedom Ring" by Amy Stoffel. The fireworks are by Scraps by Jenn.

Layout: "Frantic!"
Abigail made this adorable hermit crab in school. She named it Shelly. One day, Abigail had the unfortunate urge to take Shelly out to eat with us. Abigail was frantic when she realized she threw Shelly in the garbage at Long John Silvers inside her meal box! Thank God for the nice LJS employees who rescued Shelly from certain death! Shelly is now safe and sound at home - where Abigail swears she will stay! For this layout, I used a brand new kit by Shanmomto4 Designs called "You Light up my Day".

Layout: "He's So Pretty"
Thurman loves to wear shoes - everyone's shoes. He doesn't care what they look like or how big they are, he loves them! This is one of those layouts that will be sure to embarrass him later! I used a new kit by Phantom Scraps called "Forest Frolic" for this one.

Layout: "Bubbles"
I know this is almost identical to Thurman's "The Human Tractor" page, but I wanted to share these photos because they are SOOOO cute! It's the first time Logan took a bath without screaming! Music to my ears.... I used coordinating kits for this layout: "Fresh" (a collab from Digi Designs by Nicole and Stolen Moments) and "Is it Spring Yet?" by Shel Belle Scraps. The alphabet is from a kit called "Celebrate Love" also by Shel Belle Scraps.

Layout: "The Human Tractor"
I loved doing this layout! It's one of those unique, priceless memories that are so fun to scrapbook! This day, I was wondering what in the world Thurman was doing. He had dismantled Duane's shoe rack that's on our sun porch and was carrying it around the house making weird noises. It wasn't until he slid it under something and tried to lift it that I realized he was pretending to be a tractor! It was sooooo cute! I spent quite awhile that day watching him and smiling at his personality and imagination. For this kit, I used a kit called "Going Bananas" by Kay Miller Designs. The alphabet is by Digi Designs by Nicole.
Layout: "Funny Guy"
This is Thurman's 2 year old layout. I have never done a page with so many photos, but there were too many cute ones to narrow it down even further so I tried something different. The kit is called "I Scream, You Scream" and it was another freebie. It was a collab by Flower Scraps and Every Ever After Moment Designs.

Layout: "11 Months"
I can't believe how big Logan is getting - he's trying to catch up to Thurman and doing a great job of it! He has such a silly personality. He's definitely a character and he's going to be quite the handful. I love how this layout turned out. I used another super freebie kit called "Nature's Call" and this one is by Sweet Blossom Designs. The alphabet is from a kit called "Mimosa" by Shel Belle Designs.
Layout: Wild Water Wars
Abigail's friend came over armed with water balloons. Unfortunately, they needed filled and it took awhile for us to figure out how to do it successfully. But once we did, they had a blast soaking each other! Again, I had fun using some bright, girly colors for this layout (I don't get to use these kinds of colors too often). The kit was a great freebie from Mel Hains Designs called "Bloomin' Beautiful".

Layout: Rides on the Wild Side
This is Caleb's layout for our trip to Lakemont Park in May. I love how this one turned out. I managed to squeeze a remarkable number of photos on this one (12) along with a lot of journaling and a long title. And it doesn't even look overly crowded. The kit was fabulous. It was yet another freebie called "Grunge it Up" and it's by Tamie and Vicki. The alphabet is from a kit called "Wild Thing" by Digi Designs by Nicole.

This layout was made from miscellaneous photos that I just fell in love with. I used a fun, colorful kit by Phantom Scraps called "Toothless".
