We were outgrowing our house, so we decided to finish the basement to give us six total bedrooms. That way, each of the older kids could have their own space and the only ones who would have to share a room would be the two little ones. Fortunately, Duane was able to do all of the work (except the new carpeting) himself, so that saved us a ton of money. Logan became unusually attached to one of the Wii remotes. For weeks on end, he carried it with him wherever he went and he even slept with it. Once in awhile, he still wants it to hold, but for the part, he's grown out of it. It was too cute, though!Digital Kit: "Gadgets & Gizmos" by Suzy Q Scraps
After six kids and nearly 19 years of nursing, I have never seen someone with glands swollen the size that Logan's were. It looked like he swallowed a softball! Thankfully, it was nothing some antibiotics wouldn't cure. Poor little guy - he was such a trooper!
I adore Thurman's antics! His latest venture is trying on my bras - LOL. I especially like it because it makes Duane all panicky (I guess it somehow threatens his manhood that his son is wearing women's undergarments). Anyway, this is another layout meant to embarrass one of the kids sometime down the road (because really, that is one of life's greatest pleasures).

This was made using the same kit below, but since I used this particular layout for the three older boys, I didn't want it to be quite so whimsical. I decided to showcase Caleb's layout.
I am working on layouts from all that snow that hit us living in the East coast from December through February. This is Abigail's layout. I don't normally do layouts with "scenes" made using the elements, but these little critters were just too cute not to use. These colors wouldn't normally be ones I would choose, but they were fantastic for snow layouts!
This is Logan's 18 month layout. I did a really quick, simple layout. The turtles didn't necessarily go with the layout, but they were just too darn cute not to use!
This is Abigail's layout from Christmas. I'm using this same layout for all the kids, just changing photos and colors, etc. I'm posting hers since it's the first one done.
Finally catching up with layouts finishing up 2009 with our Christmas pages. This is the page for our family album. It's always so difficult narrowing the pictures down to what will fit on the page because I took over a hundred at Christmas and had to not put a lot of my favorites on the layouts. I do have every picture I take printed and put into a regular album (as well as saving them on flash drives, CDs and an external hard drive (can you tell how important they are to me? LOL).
