Layout: "Seriously Snowed"

Since it seems that everyone else in the US is getting snow and we aren't, my two little ones decided to make their own in their room with baby powder. I should have known they were being too quiet! When will I learn?

Layout: "Busted!"

Two of my older boys and a neighborhood friend who was spending the night decided it would be a good idea to sneak out of the house in the middle of the night and go wandering through Hagerstown. Of course, they knew it was against OUR rules (we last saw them going downstairs "to bed"), but what they didn't know is that it's also against the law (there is a 10pm curfew). They were terrified when cops came upon them, questioned them, frisked them and drove them home. Not fifteen minutes later, the doorbell rang again. It was the same cop (now she was REALLY unhappy) bringing Caleb home. He apparently knew the other boys had sneaked out and since he couldn't sleep, he figured he'd go out for a walk through Funkstown. We weren't too harsh on them as I think the police put the fear of God into them.

Layout: "Growing up..."

I couldn't resist doing a layout of Caleb's first time shaving. I hardly feel old enough to have a child who needs to shave!

Layout: "Emergency!"

I can't believe it's been four months since I've posted a layout! I haven't been scrapping as much lately and I'm falling really far behind. The subject of this layout occurred when Logan and Thurman thought it would be fun to hold onto the office chair while running around, making it swivel. Until Thurman let go, making Logan lose his balance and fall into the corner of the wall, gashing the back of his head open. Several hours at the ER and two staples later, all was well again.

Layout: "Reasons to Celebrate!"

This is the birthday celebration layout for the family album. It's always hard to find layouts that I can use both a lot of photos and journaling on. So blessed to have all of my wonderful, gorgeous kids!

Layout: "Wild Summer Fun"

We got the kids a water park for summer fun. I was surprised at how huge it is. We had considered a large pool or a trampoline, but felt they were too risky and didn't offer much for the little ones. So this was a great compromise and something they can all enjoy!

Layout: "BFFs"

I am so blessed to have such wonderful kids, including friends of my kids! This layout was a request from my "adopted daughter", Abby. Her and Abigail (funny they have the same name) posed for this photo shoot so I could do a special layout of them together. I thought it turned out really pretty and I love doing girly pages since I get to do so few of them as opposed to "boy stuff".

Layout: "Ouch!"

Caleb's bike chain locked up on him, causing him to crash and land on the asphalt - after hitting his mouth on the handle bars. I thought I could take care of it all, but the wound on his leg proved more than I could deal with at home. So we went off to Urgent Care where he ended up with (7) stitches. I know it hurt, but he was a trooper - and I enjoyed spending some extra time with him!

Layout: "Up to No Good"

I can't believe it's been over a month since I've posted a layout! I've been working on my "Book of Me" and I haven't decided on whether or not to upload those layouts. Anyway, today's layout is Logan getting into trouble - first with my Olay facial cream and then with some diaper rash ointment. I'm not sure why he thinks everything is supposed to go in his hair!

Layout: "Tractor Crazy"

Our two little ones are completely obsessed with tractors. So when someone Duane works with offered to give him a free riding mower (with a broken mower), he jumped at it. It's perfect for him to ride the boys around on - their very own "tractor". No, Duane doesn't embarrass easily. But it is pretty cute that he's such a dedicated dad! He even bought a wagon to hitch to it for the bigger kids to ride in!

Layouts: "Tooth Trouble"

Both of our little ones ending up needing extensive dental work. They apparently inherited bad tooth genes from Duane's side of the family. None of my other kids have ever had tooth issues. We have to travel to Baltimore to have their teeth fixed under general anesthesia. As if the travelling and being at the hospital all day wasn't bad enough, we got a flat on the way home and were stuck on I-70 for 1 1/2 hours before the spare unjammed from its holding place under the truck! It was awful - screaming, tired, hungry kids who weren't feeling well. I don't care to repeat that again! But their teeth are beautiful now and healthy and that's all that matters!

Easter Layouts!

I wanted to showcase a couple Easter layouts. I picked Caleb's because he looked so slick in his new dress shirt and tie. And I picked the family layout, because the little animals in this kit were just too darn cute! I tend to have trouble using elements like the animals that need "grounded", but I thought this one turned out pretty good!

Layout: "Don't Ask"

Sometimes the things kids do just make you shake your head and not even try to make sense of it. This was one of those times! Gabriel thought it would be fun to put those rubber "popper" toys on his forehead. They stuck. Enough to give him bizarre looking red marks that lasted for days.
